Brown Forman has acquired Herradura and El Jimador tequila brands. Grupo Industrial Herradura was advised by Dyens & Co.

Brown-Forman Corporation, headquartered in Louisville, KY, acquired Grupo Industrial Herradura, S.A. de C.V and all company-related assets for $776 million.

The acquisition rounds out the Brown-Forman liquor portfolio with Herradura and El Jimador, super-premium and premium tequilas respectively.

Additionally, Grupo Industrial Herradura gives the company an expanded distribution platform in Mexico, and allows Brown-Forman to tap into the growing Hispanic market and capitalize on the fast-growing “cocktail culture.”

Dyens & Co. advised the shareholders of Grupo Industrial Herradura.
